MUTINY IN BALBOA: JOHNNY COLATRUGLIO VOTED OFF
With only two rounds remaining in VIRTUAL SURVIVOR 7: PEARL ISLANDS, Balboa alliances shifted yet again. At a suspense-filled Tribal Council, the players' votes were split between Brentin and Johnny. Since neither player had past votes to count, a Tiebreaker vote was held, resulting in a deadlocked tribe. In the end, it was Johnny Colatruglio, the 19-year-old student from Ottawa, Ontario, who lost the Tiebreaker Challenge to Brentin by a mere three points. Upon seeing his torch extinguished Johnny remarked, "This game has had it's ups and downs and I dominated it for a majority of the game. Kudos to Brentin for taking me out" and "Well I'm glad the game ended for me at my own hands rather than someone elses. I'm out of the game because I could not perform in a challenge; plain and simple. I'd like to congradulate Brentin on beating me in the tie breaker. The challenge was mentally exhausting and ultimately did me in."
BRENTIN WANTS TO SAVE K.J.
Having won individual Immunity at the "Friendly Fire" challenge, Brentin concocted a plan with K.J. which would hopefully split Jessie's and Johnny's votes at Tribal Council. By giving K.J. his Immunity, he hoped that the votes that he knew Jessie and Johnny were going to cast for K.J. would instead be scattered, hopefully causing a 3-1 vote for his long-time ally, Johnny. That, however, was not the case, as the first vote ended in a tie between Johnny and Brentin, who risked his own place in the game by giving Immunity to K.J.. The castaways were then given a chance to revote, but with K.J. now Immune and Jessie not an option for the revote, was giving up Immunity the smartest move for Brentin?
JESSIE FORCES A TIE
When it came time to revote at Tribal Council, Jessie had been hearing different stories from different people and did not know who she could trust or who to believe. So, knowing that K.J. would not vote for the person who gave her Immunity, Jessie decided to keep the vote a tie. Because neither Brentin or Johnny had any past votes counting against them, a math-related Tiebreaker Challenge took place, and ultimately Brentin kept himself safe, sending Johnny home in the process. The final score in the Tiebreaker Challenge was 28 to 31.
